Recovery, One Soak at a Time

Ask a group of cyclists about their favorite recovery rituals and you’ll hear everything from stretching and foam rolling to naps and chocolate milk. Around here, we’re partial to a long, hot bath.

Epsom salt, also known as magnesium sulfate, has been used in therapeutic baths for generations. While warm water helps relax tired muscles and encourages circulation after a challenging ride, Epsom salts have become a time-honored companion to the recovery ritual. Many cyclists find that setting aside twenty minutes for a quiet soak is the perfect way to unwind after a day in the saddle.

What makes our Salt for the Tub™ especially meaningful to us is that the Epsom salts begin their journey right here in the mountains of Western North Carolina. The magnesium sulfate used in our bath salts is produced in Waynesville by Giles Co., one of North America’s largest producers of Epsom salt.

From there, the salts make their way to our studio in West Asheville, where we blend them in small batches with sea salts, goat milk, botanicals, and essential oils to create our own recovery-inspired formula.

Whether you’ve just conquered a mountain climb, completed your weekly club ride, or simply spent the day exploring the outdoors, a warm bath can be a welcome invitation to slow down, recharge, and prepare for your next adventure.

So go ahead. Draw the water. Add a scoop of Salt for the Tub™. Let the day melt away.
